Hearing Health Center wins merit award
Audiologist Ronna Fisher, founder of Hearing Health Center (HHC), received the coveted Interagency Committee (IAC) Award of Merit on March 19, at the IAC Recognition Conference in Lisle, Illinois.
The award honors organizations that have demonstrated unique, noteworthy, thoughtful and meritorius service to deaf-blind people. Fisher founded Hearing Health Center Inc. headquarters in Chicago's Loop, in 1984. Over the past 15 years, the firm has added offices in Naperville and Oak Brook Terrace. Fisher and her staff now care for more than 5,000 patients. Under her leadership, HHC has become known for customer service and providing the most comprehensive, technologically sophisticated hearing health care.
One patient commented, "Often individuals who are deaf-blind do not understand the severity or prognosis of their hearing loss. Communication is often difficult. The staff at Hearing Health Center has risen to the occasion again and again in meeting communication needs."
In addition, Hearing Health Center has been a pioneer in the field of assistive devices, which enable patients to hear otherwise inaudible telephones, doorbells or even smoke alarms. If you or someone you know needs your hearing checked, call Hearing Health Center at (312) 263-7171.
