Alzheimer's Patient and Lyric...A Perfect Fit!

I saw a patient last week that has been battling Alzheimer's disease for a few years. Coupled with a severe hearing loss, communication is often quite a challenge for her and her family.
Her husband purchased multiple hearing aids for her; unfortunately they were constantly being misplaced. We were able to figure out the perfect solution for her. We fit her with the Lyric which stays in the ears 24 hours a day/7 days a week. She no longer has to worry about taking them in and out and her husband no longer has to worry about her losing them. Better yet, even if she were to lose one, we put a new one in at no charge since it is covered under her subscription!

A week later, she was doing great with her new hearing instruments and needless to say the family was quite pleased!
Cases of Alzheimer's disease are on the rise. Currently, more than 35 million people around the world are living with Alzheimer's disease or other types of dementia.
The new count is about 10 percent higher than what scientists had predicted just a few years ago. Barring a medical breakthrough, the World Alzheimer Report projects dementia will nearly double every 20 years.
By 2050, it will affect a staggering 115.4 million people.
We are very happy to have helped improve the life of one Alzheimer's patient and her family.
